Course Fees

Application for any of the courses can be made by completing the application form (use link left side of page) and emailing or faxing it back along with the payment for the course. Course fees are payable by EFTPOS - contact the office for credit card transactions - cash or cheque and enrolments are confirmed upon receipt of payment of the fees.

Class sizes are limited. Enrolments taken in order of receipt. Early enrolment advisable.
Courses may have their starting dates put back one or more weeks. Prices are subject to change.

Course Cancellation or Postponement: Low enrolment courses may be cancelled or delayed. You will be notified of this 48 hours prior to course commencement.

Grants Available

Melbourne Health Training Services is a Registered Training Organisation which enables students to apply for Government Grants.

Wanting to work with Older Adults? MHTS covers these specific units including Exercises for Older Adults within the Certificate IV in Fitness. COTA and Living Longer Living Stronger™ have allocated funding (up to $500 per student) towards those genuinely wanting to study (either Certificate III or Certificate IV in Fitness) and work with the older population (50+). Applications close 25th January 2007.

Students enrolling into a course who have a Parents Returning to Work Grant identification number are eligible to claim up to $1000 in costs for course fees, books, materials and childcare fees. Students must apply for the grant prior to enrolment. Information regarding eligibility and how to apply for the grant is available on the web site at http://parentsreturntowork.net.au/.

Full disclosure of student policies is available from the website. Payment of course fee before the course date is required. A cancellation fee of 50% for individuals and $250 for groups bookings, applies for all cancellations more than 14 days from the training date. No refunds for courses cancelled with 7 days of the course date. A redemption of 50% of the cancellation fee can be claimed on any new course held in the same year. Please enquire about the rates available for large groups. Schools, sporting organizations and businesses are able to apply for concessions.
